New leadership programs

We are happy to share three new programs designed to help people managers and leaders.

eLeadership Academy - New online leadership development program

We have partnered with the eLeadership Academy to offer an innovative program for credit unions looking to increase leadership capacity and effectiveness. The new leadership program is an instructor-led 8-week web-based learning experience designed for established and emerging leaders. There is a credit union-specific option available, or participants can register in open cohort sessions. New EXPEDITON Coaching Program

In partnership with the eLeadership Academy, we are piloting the EXPEDITION Coaching Program, designed to enhance the communication, relationship-building and coaching skills of leaders. This 8-week course is broken into 4 weeks of training followed by 4 weeks of skill application. Only 15 participants will be accepted in the pilot, and graduates will receive a certificate of completion. Click here to learn more.

Credit Unions: Different By Design (CUIC 201)

CCUA is excited to announce the newest course from the Credit Union Institute of Canada (CUIC), Credit Unions: Different by Design. The course replaces the long standing CUIC 200 Credit Union System course which is currently in its 11th edition. Learn more

CUIC exam admission tickets

We have introduced a new process for sending out CUIC exam admission tickets that will make it impossible for learners to lose them. Each person registered to write an exam now gets an admission ticket emailed to them, and at the same time, this ticket is filed in his or her Messages folder on the Learning Gateway. PFP Advisory Council seeks new member

The Canadian Securities Institute (CSI) is looking for a candidate from the Prairies with a Personal Financial Planning (PFP®) designation to join the PFP Advisory Council. The Council consists of 8-10 volunteers, who oversee the designation by ensuring that the program, and its designation holders, continually meet the highest educational, ethical, and professional standards. Canada Job Grant - Access up to $10,000

The Canada Job Grant, an employer-driven program funded by the federal and provincial governments, covers up to $10,000 per person toward the cost of professional training for employees. To qualify, training programs must be provided by eligible third-party trainers and can take place in a variety of settings, including classroom, workplace or online. Credit unions can use the Canada Job Grant to covered Cusource® training programs, tuition, learning materials and examination fees.
