Let Canadians know about your credit union’s account offerings: Making use of the FCAC’s Account Comparison Tool

More than 4,000 Canadians a month visit the Financial Consumer Agency of Canada’s (FCAC) Account Comparison Tool, making it one of the most popular destinations for Canadians assessing what type of account will best meet their needs.

Re-launched for Financial Literacy Month, the new Account Comparison Tool is even easier for consumers to compare accounts and easier for financial institutions to add their information.

Credit unions can enter information about the accounts that they offer, and this information will be displayed to Canadian consumers making decisions about which account best meets their needs. The list of accounts and financial institutions are organized according to which account best meets the consumer’s preferences and location.

There is no cost involved with adding account information to the tool, and the process for updating information about your credit union’s accounts has been automated; it will send regular reminders about when to update account information.
